The students learn from professionals that work for international and national disaster and emergency medicine organizations, academia and relevant institutions. The program uses both conventional and innovative teaching strategies such are computer-based and real-life simulations, practical workshops, field-work, home-work presentations and lectures. At the end of the program students posses knowledge about disaster medicine and have skills to use theory of education and learning. The TdmT graduates are part of a global network of medical students with the skills and knowledge of delivering a well-planned training course on disaster medicine.
